Climate change and its impacts have affected all regions around the world in recent years. Climate change is regarded as one of the major challenges of the present era to achieve sustainable development as well as one of the main social and economical human challenges for all regions. Thus, there is a need for international cooperation in updating the information and knowledge on climate change and its impacts and to know how to adopt and how to mitigate. The crises out of global warming, climate fluctuation crises, climate change and how to deal with them are recognizable through taking advantage of international, regional and national experiences provided by the researchers in these areas. The I.R. of Iran Meteorological Organization (IRIMO) as the Focal Point of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change in Iran held six international conferences on Climate Change from 1996 to 2019 were welcomed by local and international researchers. IRIMO intends to hold “7th International Climate Change Conference” from 29 to 30 January 2024 in Tehran to discuss the issues of draught, environmental crises, water crisis and its social and economic consequences which is one of the major aftermaths of climate change in our country during recent decades; and take advantage of international, regional and national experiences provided by researchers in the areas related to the climate change issue.
